How do you post something _in_ the art portal? I thought members just posted their work in their galleries here.

There is a checkbox "This is not a sketch". If you don't tick it it will appear in your gallery, but it won't appear in the art feed (if you click "art" on the site)
However, this site also has a scouting system. If you haven't been scouted, your art won't appear in the feed anyway.
